Jordan Segundo is
an extremely talented singer
who has spent most of his nineteen years pursuing
his dream of becoming a professional in the music
business.
His journey lead him to the "American
Idol" auditions in Los Angeles in 2002. Over
seventy-five thousand singers across the nation
auditioned and Jordan earned the Judges' nod of
approval and was chosen as
one
of the 32 finalists,
gaining national recognition and becoming the first
contestant from Hawaii.
Jordan's
CD single features two original songs."
Be The One" was written by Jordan and is an
upbeat tune with an island contemporary feel while"
So Many Reasons" is a beautiful ballad written by
Glenn Medeiros. Both songs represent the vocal
expertise of one of Hawaii's finest male vocalists,
Jordan Segundo. With the support of Executive
Producer, Aaron Kimura and Producer, Dave
Tucciarone, Jordan's first CD release is a quality
production with musical renditions full of emotion.
REVIEWS & ARTICLES
Jordan's
1st single has radio potential - Wayne Harada, The Honolulu
Advertiser
The track, which he co-wrote with Aaron Kimura, is suitable for radio
play, with attractive musical hooks and a performance that radiates
with the singer's boyishness and sweetness. The romantic, get-to-know-you
lyrics are especially suitable for Jordan (he doesn't use his surname
in the marketing of the disc).
Segundo
shows strength in pair of new songs - Shawn "Speedy" Lopes,
Honolulu Star-Bulletin
The lead song, "Be the One," which Segundo co-wrote
with Island Groove honcho Aaron Kimura, is a light up-tempo tune
with
a distinct retro sound that comes from the late '80s to mid-'90s
era. There's a slight hint of Stevie B to be detected in Segundo's
delivery as he asks a girl to drop the "boy" who isn't
treating her right and choose him, a man who can satisfy her needs.
Segundo sings it with sincerity and feeling, and the message should
connect instantly with his female fans. |
