Once upon a time, a blues-lovin' man from the southern
mainland met a Japanese drummer in Hawaii who played African hand-drums
(ashikos).
It was east meets west; it was improbable; it
was southern-fried sushi.simple enough all started back in December
of 1996. It was
when Hubert Sakai met a guy by the name of Rick Walker at Friend's
Cafe
in Kailua.
It was magic from day one. The collaboration of the two musicians
brought out a unique sound filled with an acoustic percussion
soul, yet utterly simple. Hence, their name was set in stone, "Simple
Enough." Taste a sample of 'southern-fried sushi' and see why this group is
truly unique...
